New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA)

Visitors to New Zealand require an Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) to travel to New Zealand & pay an International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy. The NZeTA does not replace the Visa Waiver Program, and a visa will still be granted upon arrival in New Zealand; please ensure you have at least six months validity on your passport at the time of travel. - US passport holders can apply for an NZeTA using the NZeTA app. For full details click here

You can download the NZeTA app for free from the Apple Store (Apple) or or Google Play store (Android).

If transiting New Zealand

Visitors transiting through New Zealand en-route to another country require a valid passport and Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) to travel to New Zealand. Please ensure you have at least six months validity on your passport at the time of travel.

US passport holders can apply for an NZeTA using the NZeTA app. You can download the NZeTA app (see above).
