My first memory of travel
My family owned a caravan in a small seaside town in Ocean Grove Victoria. Ocean Grove was where I learnt to bogie board , where I explored the sand dunes but will forever be remembered for the best hot chips and gravy !
My first trip abroad
My first trip abroad was a school trip to china when I was 15, seeing such a diverse culture and landmarks such as the Great Wall and Terra Cotta Warriors got me motivated to see more of the world.
Just got back from Australia visiting Melbourne, Brisbane and Port Douglas. Highlights included scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef and Philip Island penguins. I also just visited Cape Town staying in the Franschhoek wine region, paired with the perfect meal and spectacular views makes for a great trip.
My favorite place to travel
Anywhere with surf, sun and sand ! .
My dream vacation
South America has been on my bucket list for along time including trekking in Machu Picchu and visiting Cusco and Scared Valley. I am a fairly active and adventurous traveler and like a good mix of wildlife scenery local food and wine.
My ultimate survival bag for international flights
Gum or breath mints, not only will the person next to you thank you but great for unblocking the ears between take off and landing and will help with a dry month. Any book in the Harry Potter series or if for some reason your not a fan something that's light and easy to read. A good neck rest, trust me you'll try a million different poses and position to get a bit of shut eye and an extra support on your neck works wonders.
My travel tips to make a long flight seem not quite as
Break it down ! EAT, SLEEP,MOVE,READ,WATCH ... Try and Sleep - yes easier said than done sometimes but I think my travel companions that stay awake always finder it harder to get over jetlag and the time passes much quicker
My favorite destination we sell
AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE OI OI OI ! , yes I am a proud born Australian and love sending people to my home country. Having lived in both Melbourne and Sydney I have good insights into Australia's metropolitan city life.
My best travel advice
Don't just see a destination immerse yourself in it. Some of the worse mistakes people can make when planning a trip is not giving yourself enough time to really take in a destination and what it has to offer.
If I weren't in the travel industry, I would be busy
making a living doing
Prior to travel I was working in childcare so would most likely be a kindergarten teacher. I loved to teach, tell stories and watch their imaginations grow.
I fell in love with travel
My first big trip to Europe was probably when I got the travel bug, from paragliding in Switzerland to trying escargot in France it really tested my boundaries and made me do and see things a might not otherwise do.
My happy place
Chocolate, cheese and wine need I say more !
My favorite travel companion
I have many friends and family whom I travel with but I find my favorites are the ones that keep an open mind and are willing to try something different.
I'd love to take a trip with
Chris Hemsworth, with Thor by my side what could go wrong !
What I do when I'm not at work
I love hitting any local art exhibits and museums living in New York there always seems to be something going on. A good walk around the city or the botanical gardens never goes astray or watching a broadways show. I also enjoy going to local baseball and basketball games and also watching Australian Football League.
