Day 1 - Arrive Auckland
Meeting service and pick up your car at the airport depot and drive to your hotel for the night.

Day 2 - Auckland/Waitomo/Rotorua (Breakfast included)
This morning travel via Hamilton to Waitomo Caves, for a subterranean boat ride and cave walk. Cross the Mamaku Hills to the famous thermal centre of Rotorua.(approximately 370kms).
Stay: The Springs

Day 3 - Rotorua /Napier (Breakfast included)
The morning is free to explore the major sights and attractions of Rotorua, entrance is included to Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve, Agrodome Sheep Show and the native garden setting of Paradise Valley Springs. From Rotorua travel via Taupo to Napier- the art deco centre of New Zealand (approximately 215 kms).
Stay: The County Hotel

Day 4 - Napier and the Hawkes Bay (Breakfast and lunch included)
A day at leisure to explore the parks, gardens and enjoy lunch at one of Hawkes Bays’ famous wineries.

Day 5 - Napier to Wairarapa (Breakfast included)
Continue travelling south to reach Martinborough - a major wine producing area famous for Pinot Noir wines. (approximately 286kms).
Stay: The Martinborough Hotel

Day 6 - Wairarapa to Marlborough (Breakfast included)
Leave your accommodation and drive the short distance to Wellington, New Zealand’s capital city. After dropping off your car, board the ferry for a journey across the Cook Strait, collect another car and drive to Blenheim in the Marlborough region. (approximately 35kms).
Stay: Old St Mary's Convent

Day 7 - Marlborough (Breakfast included)
A day at leisure to perhaps explore the wineries or the Marlborough Sounds area.

Day 8 - Marlborough to Christchurch (Breakfast included)
Travel to Christchurch today via the beautiful Kaikoura Coast. Stop off at Kaikoura for an optional Whale Watch excursion or swim with the dolphins. On arrival in Christchurch tour concludes with returning your rental car to the city or airport depot (approximately 308kms).

Experience the freedom of discovering New Zealand at your own pace in a well maintained rental car from Maui or Avis car Rental.
