Day 2 - Christchurch to Dunedin (Breakfast included)
Make your way to New Zealand’s 'Scottish City', Dunedin. On the way view the Moeraki Boulders and turn off the main road to explore some of the Central South Island scenery (approximately 362kms).

A day at leisure to explore Dunedin City and the peninsula which is home to penguins, seals and the mighty albatross.

Day 4 - Dunedin to the Catlins

Drive along some of the South Island’s most beautiful coastline and stop for short walks on the beaches or through the native bush. Tonight stay on a South Catlins farm (approximately 170 kms).

Day 5 - The Catlins to Stewart Island (Breakfast included)
Take time to enjoy your rural setting before traveling to Invercargill and then by ferry to Stewart Island. Leave your car at safe storage at Bluff (approximately 75 km).

A day of leisure to explore Stewart Island. A boat ride is included to visit the bird sanctuary of Ulva Island.

Day 7 - Stewart Island to Doubtful Sound (Breakfast and Dinner

This morning catch the ferry back to the South Island and travel via the Southern Scenic route to Manapouri (approximately 210kms). Here park your car and catch a ferry and a coach to Doubtful Sound. Spend the night on a purpose built boat on Doubtful Sound.
(Cruise does not operate mid May to 30th September - during this time tour will spend a night in Te Anau with a full day Doubtful Sound Cruise ex Manapouri including a picnic lunch on board.)

Day 8 - Doubtful Sound to Queenstown

After returning to the wharf at Doubtful Sound retrace your steps to Manapouri and then on by car to the Adventure Capital of the World, Queenstown (approximately 205kms).

After a day exploring the attractions, activities and sights of beautiful Queenstown, your tour concludes with returning your rental car to the city or airport depot.
