Fiji Value Add Tax (VAT) to remain at 12.5%
The Fiji Islands Revenue Authority advised on 29 Dec 2006, on the instruction of the Interim Prime Minister, that the Value Add Tax will not increase to 15% from 01 January 2007, and will remain at the current 12.5%. This reverses a policy decision that was made in November 2006 by the deposed SDL Government.
