Day 2 - Cross International Date Line

Day 3 - Arrive Auckland
Auckland, which is built around two harbors, is known as “The City of Sails”. You’ll see why, as there are more sailboats per capita than anywhere else in the world. Auckland offers all of the things you could want from a sophisticated cosmopolitan city – from beautiful scenery and first-class food and wine to easily accessible nature based experiences such as the wild black sand beaches on the west coast, fabulous wineries and restaurants on the island of Waiheke and a cruise to see the spectacular local whales and dolphins.

Accommodation - Skycity, Auckland located in the heart of Auckland City, SkyCity Hotel offers a vast array of entertainment options literally at your door. The Sky City Complex is home to 2 casinos and 18 restaurants and bars to choose from, with something to suit every need. The hotel is walking distance from Queen Street and the Viaduct.

Day 3 - Sky Tower and Whale & Dolphin Safari
At 1075 feet, the Sky Tower is the tallest tower in the Southern Hemisphere, offering breath-taking views for more than 50 miles in every direction.

Leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and travel aboard Dolphin Explorer into the expansive Hauraki Gulf Marine Park. Discover wildlife in its natural habitat right on Auckland City's doorstep. Birds dive into the sea, dolphins dance in the wake of the boat and whales surface and disappear again in a puff of mist. Feel the fresh air and splash of the sea as you get an up close encounter with these amazing mammals and learn how they live, work and play together.

Day 4 - Drive to Rotorua via Waitomo Caves
Today you will travel south from Auckland through the rich farmland of the Waikato on to Waitomo. After your lunch stop (lunch at own expense) begin your guided tour through the long galleries and lofty chambers of the Caves. Your tour continues with a boat ride through the Glowworm Grotto, illuminated by thousands of tiny lights from the glowworms suspended from the cave ceiling. After your visit re-board your coach and continue on to Rotorua.

Rotorua is the center of Maori culture in New Zealand. It is also a geothermal wonderland and the geothermal steam, volcanic mountains and huge crater lakes remind you that this region rests immediately above the Pacific Ring of Fire. Here you can see the geothermal wonders of boiling mud, blowholes and sulfur.  You can also see the many stunning lakes and volcano craters.  I suggest doing taking a helicopter ride to walk in the crater of an active volcano, trying a thrilling ‘Zorb’ ride and going white water rafting!  You can also soak in the natural mineral baths at Polynesians Springs or spot rare birds on Mokoia Island.

ACCOMMODATION - Stay two nights at The Black Swan Boutique Lakeside Boutique Hotel. This lodge is beautifully appointed and offers luxury accommodation. Punctuated with old and new varieties of roses, the mature gardens include a swimming pool with sun-lit terraces where guests can choose to unwind and relax. Alternatively, the private jetty enables professional fishing guides to collect guests interested in fishing for rainbow and brown trout, or traditional Maori concerts can be arranged in the gardens. Here, one can catch a trophy sized trout, relax in a natural hot thermal pool, enjoying a glass of fine New Zealand wine, whilst your catch is roasting in the thermal sands of this untouched native wonderland.

Day 5 - Volcanic Safari
Fly to and land on New Zealand’s only permanently active volcano White Island. Leaving the Rotorua city lakefront we fly north past our northern lakes district before crossing the coast on track to White Island. Arriving overhead the volcano enjoy aerial views of the active crater before landing on this lunar like surface. Here embark upon a leisurely guided tour of the island's crater floor to view active steam vents 'fumaroles', hot streams, vibrant sulphur formations and the steaming crater. This landscape is constantly changing as the activity forms new features and removes old ones. The Crater Lake changes in depth and temperature so that from one day to the next the landscape is different. Part of our tour includes a walk through crumbling mining ruins to view the weathered remains of what was a working factory built in 1923 and abandoned in 1933. Tours on this privately owned volcano are conducted by your pilot / guide whose wealth of knowledge about the island's history and geology enhances the experience. Return flights to and from the island takes in aerial views of the wider Bay of Plenty. This tour is approximately 3 hours in duration including check in and briefing times.

Day 6 - Fly Rotorua to Queenstown
Nestled on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and overlooked by the majestic Remarkables Range, Queenstown is the self-styled ‘adventure capital of the world’.  From here you can see the magnificent fjords, Milford Sound or Doubtful Sound where you can go kayaking or do an overnight cruise. Around Queenstown there are a multitude of great 4WD adventures, heli-touring and excellent food and wine experiences too.  This is a stunning Alpine destination year round – the perfect place for mountain biking, a descent bike ride and day hikes with stunning scenery.  This is the home of Bungy jumping, Funyak inflatable canoeing, skydiving, quad biking, the Nevis Swing and other adrenaline pumping activities! Stay 3 nights at the Sofitel Queenstown.

ACCOMMODATION - Sofitel Queenstown offers opulent and stylish rooms with exquisite attention to detail. The quintessential Sofitel "art de vivre" and lavish amenities complement the classic, yet distinctive design, in the heart of Queenstown

Day 7 - Milford Sound - Coach and Scenic Cruise
Milford Sound is a world-renowned natural wonder where mountains stand tall, straight out of the sea. Luxuriant rainforest clings to sheer rock walls and waterfalls tumble hundreds of meters to the sea below. Whatever the fiord’s mood – brooding and wet, or tranquil in the sunshine – it will inspire you. Depart Queenstown by luxury glass-roofed coach and enjoy a relaxing trip along the shores of Lake Wakatipu and through the rolling countryside to Te Anau. Have a short break in Te Anau and then follow the spectacular Milford Road. On reaching Milford Sound board a luxury vessel for a cruise the full-length of Milford Sound. The vessel provides excellent viewing opportunities and plenty of time is available to enjoy waterfalls, rainforest, mountains and wildlife. Return to Milford Wharf, reboard your coach for the return journey to Queenstown.

Day 8 - Queenstown Rafting Triple Challenge - Shotover Jet,Helicopter & WhiteWater Rafting
The Ultimate Adventure. Begin with the shotover jet, speed through rocky canyons and experience the Hamilton 360 spins. Climb aboard a helicopter for a spectacular flight into Skippers Canyon. Land at Deep Creek and meet your rafting guide, peaceful waters at first before hearing the roar of the"mother" section.

Day 9 - Fly to Honolulu via Auckland
Honolulu is the vibrant epicenter of Hawaii. Here you’ll find everything from historic landmarks and treasured monuments to world-class shopping and a flourishing arts and culture scene. Home to the majority of Oahu’s population, the sprawling city of Honolulu spreads throughout the southeastern shores of Oahu, from Pearl Harbor to Makapuu Point, encompassing world famous Waikiki.
