World Heritage-listed Fraser Island is a rare and beautiful destination. The island’s untamed wilderness and rugged, natural charm entices from the first, providing 4WD adventure and excitement, but also a relaxing atmosphere from your base here at beautiful, eco-friendly Kingfisher Bay Resort. Immerse yourself in the ancient rainforests, which flourish in dune valleys, coloured sand cliffs on Seventy-Five Mile Beach or the mirrored lakes, ringed with gold, which tempt even the most reluctant swimmers.

With approximately 1500km of tracks on Fraser Island, there’s plenty of wilderness to enjoy and plenty of spots waiting to be discovered off-road by four-wheel-drive. With your private tour the day is yours to plan and enjoy. You can even order a hamper and enjoy a picnic lunch in your own private part of Fraser.

Your Ranger guide will give you as much or as little interpretive information on the cultural and human history of the island, hunt out bush tucker, tell you how plants survive in the sand… and if you ask, may even show you the tree that looks like a dinosaur.

The Humpback Whale Watch season runs from early August until the end of October with some of the most prolific whale spotting in Australia. Invariably during the season inquisitive humpbacks, referred to as 'friendlies', will approach whale-watching boats very closely
