Perth
The state’s capital, is a modern and vibrant city with numerous alfresco cafes, museums, parks and historic architecture. Visit the Western Australia Museum, the Perth Mint, London Court and Government House to see examples of Perth’s rich colonial architecture. Within walking distance of the city is Kings Park, 30 acres of natural bushland and botanical gardens with stunning views of the city.
Take a cruise along the Swan River to the port of Freemantle. The port is renowned for numerous alfresco cafes along the South Terrace cappuccino strip and its colonial character. A must do day trip from Perth, Rottnest Island lies 11 miles offshore and is home to the tiny marsupial the Quokka and is surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches, coral reefs and the clear waters of the Indian Ocean.

Margaret River

The Pinnacles, Monkey Mia and Ningaloo Reef
A three hour drive north of Perth is the Pinnacles Desert, thousands of limestone pieces across the desert landscape. Continuing north is the world heritage listed area of Shark Bay and the wild dolphins of Monkey Mia.

Broome and the Kimberley
