Brisbane

Fraser Island
Fraser Island can be accessed via Hervey or Noosa. Three hours north of Brisbane lies Hervey Bay, gateway to the world heritage listed Fraser Island, the largest sand Island in the world. Best explored by 4WD, the Island is a haven for whale watchers, bird watchers and vacationers. The Sunshine Coast is one hour’s drive north of Brisbane, stretching more than 60 miles from the Glasshouse Mountains to Noosa and Fraser Island. Noosa has evolved into one of Australia’s most popular beach destinations with great beaches, excellent shopping and a wonderful array of restaurants. The Sunshine Coast is also home to the ‘Crocodile Hunter’; visit the late Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo to experience crocodiles and other native Australian animals.
